Caylie Valenta, Physician Assistant

Caylie Valenta, a dedicated Physician Assistant at the Heart and Vascular Wellness Center, collaborates closely with Dr. Ganiyu Oshodi. Her journey in healthcare began at Manhattan College in New York, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology. While gaining valuable experience in Nursing Home and Alzheimer facilities, Caylie pursued further education at Mercy College, attaining her Masters in PA Studies. Her commitment and excellence were recognized when she became a proud member of the Pi Alpha National Honor Society for Physician Assistants in 2012. With a strong foundation in Family Medicine, Caylie joined our practice in 2019, bringing six years of valuable expertise to enhance patient care.

Areas of Expertise and Specialization:

  • Over the past 11 years as a Physician Assistant, my focus has been on providing unwavering support and guidance to new patients in the fields of cardiology and vascular medicine. My role in the practice revolves around follow-ups, result monitoring, and post-procedure care. I believe that these attentive tasks are crucial in ensuring that every patient receives the personalized attention and support necessary to improve cardiovascular health.

Inspiration to Become a PA:

  • My interest in the healthcare field started with wanting to become a doctor. However, I found my true calling as a Physician Assistant because I love the unique opportunity to work across and learn about different specialties. When I transitioned from family medicine to my current role in cardiology, I have come to appreciate the depth of experience and knowledge that each specialty offers. The opportunity to contribute to patient care in diverse medical fields has been an enjoyable and fulfilling journey.

Most Rewarding Aspect of Working Here:

  • What truly makes me happiest about my role at the Heart and Vascular Wellness Center is attending to patient’s specific needs, managing their treatments, and conducting essential diagnostic procedures. My goal is to make sure that each patient feels valued and supported.
